Director Chi Yueh-Chun (Relax Chi)
Born 1979
Chi studied with a Master’s from the Institute of Sound and Image Studies in Documentary, Tainan National University of Arts, . He has been a video activist since 2006.
As a video activist, he made film through participating the social issues such as urban inhabitants; urban aboriginal, animals, environment and human rights. Through promoting his video works, such as broadcasting in film festivals or on the internet, he knew many left-wing video makers, such as “Media Culture Action” in Korea.
From 2011, he started to work as an independent filmmaker and a commercial film director. His works include in-depth coverage’s for Taiwan Public Television, short films and commercial ads.
By participating in both of international film activities, such as the Transmission Asia-Pacific 2008 ( TXAP ) in Indonesia, and local film festivals, such as “Iron Horse Festival”, Director Chi really got a an eye-opening chance to work with many activists, artists, independent reporters, geeks, and social movement organizers around Asia Pacific.
Now, Directors Chi is preparing for “The Devil in Confession” and “On & Off” which is a documentary story about the E-sport professional and amateur players in Taiwan.
